Tim
Gaudreau, conceptual eco-artist, Portsmouth
Tim Gaudreau received an MFA from the Maine College of Art
and a BFA from the University of New Hampshire. He is passionate
about the natural world and the preservation of the environment.
His public installations are meant to be found by unsuspecting
viewers who have no expectation of seeing art. Some of these
pieces feature "lost and found" posters with photographs
and descriptions of fast food packaging or open spaces facing
development.
Gaudreau
intends to use his work in collaboration with community groups
to inspire action for local issues. The New Hampshire State
Council on the Arts Fellowship will help to fund materials
and supplies, enabling him to continue his high level of productivity
and his exploration of cultural attitudes toward nature.
