The Advanced Life Support section coordinates and oversees the development of the NH Patient Care Protocols for approval by the Medical Control Board. This includes the prerequisite protocols; RSI, Immunization, and Paramedic Interfacility Transfer & Critical Care Transfer (PIFT & CCT).

PIFT or CCT providers or units may pose clinical practice questions and the Advanced Life Support Coordinator will review your question(s) and send recommendations to the Interfacility Transport Subcommittee of the Medical Control Board for its decision. Those decisions are posted on the PIFT & CCT Clinical Practice Advisory page.

Additionally, the Advanced Life Support works with the Board of Pharmacy to approve medications for prehospital use, oversees controlled substance agreement, and procedures by level of licensure.
