As part of the statewide effort of the Department of Information Technology and the Chief Information Officer to provide standardized and efficient statewide protocols and interoperability of data systems, the Chief Information Officer has assigned an embedded staff of personnel to provide accurate, efficient and timely business-driven technology support services to the Department of Safety. There are numerous positions housed at the Department of Safety supporting our business functions and interfacing with similar positions in other State agencies and with IT’s central staff.

The Department of Safety’s technology projects are managed, implemented, and maintained by the Department of Information Technology (DoIT).
