Visiting Hours
Enjoying the day together
Visitors are an important part of our residents' lives. Here are some tips for a carefree visit:
- Enter in the main entrance (Door #2) on Winter Street, sign in and obtain a pass at the reception desk. (For safety and security, it's important for us to know who is in the facility.)
- There is a daily coffee social in the Tarr Dining Room from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. Residents, volunteers and visitors are invited to attend to join in the conversation and an occasional game of cribbage or cards.
- Recommended visiting hours for family and friends are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, if a resident is very ill, visitors are welcome to spend time with them during the night. If planning a visit outside of the normal hours, please call ahead to accommodate after-hours visits.
- To respect our residents in their home, please do not walk through the Tarr Dining Room during meal times to access other areas. Signs are posted at both entrances during meal times (6 - 8:30 a.m., noon - 1 p.m. and 5 - 6 p.m.). Please use alternate routes through surrounding hallways; our staff will be glad to assist you.
- In most cases, we do not serve visitor meals as our dietary staff makes serving residents their priority. Thank you for understanding.
- When someone's roommate is receiving care, visitors and residents are asked to socialize in one of our many comfortable community areas.
